Data Workshops Scheduled
Focus is College & Career Readiness
Mark Shea, the new Postsecondary Readiness Lead for Prairie Lakes AEA and Northwest AEA, is leading regional data discussions. This workshop is an opportunity is for your district Individual Career and Academic Planning (ICAP) team or a similar group in your district to:
Learn about what your district or school’s data says about how students from your district are doing in postsecondary attainment and attrition (the brand new National Clearinghouse data dashboards will be utilized!)
Discuss current strategies and initiatives and how to assess those initiatives
Develop new strategies based on your review of the data
Who Should Attend?
- School Counselors
- Principals
- Superintendents
- ICAP Teams
- Other educators or leaders who should be involved in the college and career readiness discussion and planning for your district and/or school
Participants will need Level 2 Access to Ed Insight data.
Additional follow-up opportunities can be scheduled at your district/school after these initial workshops.

Workshops will be from 9 a.m.-noon at each location. Please select the location/date that works best for your schedule.
Oct. 23, Prairie Lakes AEA Estherville office, 14 S. 6th St.
Oct. 25, Western Iowa Tech in in Cherokee, 200 Victor Drive.
Oct. 31, Prairie Lakes AEA, Fort Dodge office, 1235 5th Ave. S.
Nov. 2, Northwest AEA, Sioux City office, 1520 Morningside Ave.
