THE WORLD CLASS IS CONSISTENTLY GREAT

"Plenty of men can do good work for a spurt with immediate promotion in mind, but for promotion, you want a man in whom good work has a become a habit"
-Henry Doherty
American Industrialist

It's what you do
Invest time
Effort = the why = the how
Clear mental Clarity
Rusted out - lost passion need to leave
Busted out - just misplaced passion you can get it back.
Erratic performance = Erratic Thinking
Think about your past 10 years for activity
What have you accomplished?
Have you had clarity?
How can we get others on the design team?
Saban on 60 Minutes
"We create a Standard for how we do things. Everybody has to buy into that Standard. Or you can't have any team chemistry. Mediocre people don't like high achievers. High achievers don't like mediocre people"

-Nick Saban

LEARNING LAB

IDEAS FOR LAB:
different arrangement of tables, couch, starbucks setting, more inviting atmosphere, resources--computers for research, ceiling tile project, fundraiser for ceiling tiles, smart board, lamps, chart paper with organized supplies, coffee machine, having interior design club take this over, whiteboard paint, place for showcase of student projects (living museum), clear wall so students can see the wires and workings of the computer wiring like Texarkana had in the hallways, kids bring in a famous piece of artwork and then copied it onto the ceiling tile, cover over lights

LIBRARY

Bringing the Library into the 21st century--library 21 more like barnes and noble
Why can't kids go into the library and just read? Go in Learning Lab and work on homework? Kinder able to check out books but can't take them home--parents asking to get books home! Library shouldn't be a quiet place, dots should be removed from books, we shouldn't limit there reading and love of books, counseling lessons in library is limiting them to 5 minutes to check out and they are rushed, break up tables and have work areas, Ipads in library can be used by all students/teachers, kids can only check out from a certain section IF they can check out, decrease hard copy books, increase e-books, razz kids on the computers, istation, if kids don't get to check out books they have to sit on 4 corners of table and put head down can't they do razz kids??, when guidance lessons are over, can Potts help with Comprehension Toolkit lessons, books organized by topics not dewey decimal system, shelves moved, more artist books, ask kids/teachers for new books to purchase, lower level non-fiction books, books that go with stem scopes, rename the library,
