This week's Homecoming Dress Up Days are as follows:

  • Monday - PJ Day
  • Tuesday - Country vs. Country Club Day
  • Wednesday - Soccer mom/BBQ dad Day
  • Thursday - Adam Sandler Day
  • Friday - Tiger Pride Day

The Homecoming Dance will be on Friday from 9 PM - Midnight. Admission is $5.

On Tuesday, 10/4, MHS students will be be attending a mock car crash event at the Lyon County Fairgrounds. Students should bring a jacket or sweatshirt, as this event is outside.

Second chance breakfast will be after block 1 and students will then report to their Ramp-Up class for attendance and bus loading. After the event, students will return to the HS and report to block 2. Lunch will be from 12:10 - 1:05

Spectrum will meet on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 11:35 in A107. Feel free to bring your lunch!

  • The Tiger swim and dive team hosts all of their home meets in October. We’re excited to be at home and we’d love to pack the stands with Tiger fans!

    • October 13 – Meet the Tigers v. TCU at SMSU Pool 6 PM
    • October 18 – Family Night v. Montevideo 6 PM at SMSU pool
    • October 28 – Conference Championship v. St. Peter and Senior night at SMSU pool 6 PM

    If you like trivia, teamwork, and competition…you should consider being in Knowledge Bowl!!

    This season’s Knowledge Bowl interest meeting will be on Monday – October 17th from 11:00-11:30am in Student Services. All students in grades 9-12 that are interested in participating in this activity this year should attend. We will discuss important start of season information. If you are unable to attend, but still want to participate…contact Coach Skalicky.


    Sophomores will be attending the Southwest Minnesota Career Expo at SMSU on Wednesday, October 5th. We will be leaving after Block 1 and will return before lunch (students will miss Ramp-Up). This will be an opportunity to talk to area employers and experience jobs through hands-on exhibits.

    The financial aid planning night for all seniors and their parents has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 5th from 6:30-7:30 in the theater. Natasha Boe, a financial aid expert, will be the presenter. Learn about the types of Financial Aid and how to apply. All seniors and their parents should plan to attend this important meeting.

    A representatives from the following college will be here on the date below and at the time indicated. Interested juniors and seniors are asked to see Jan for a pass.
