Respiratory System
Breathing
~The Function of the Respiratory System~
The function of the Respiratory System is to get the oxygen into your body and then the waste air out of your body.
Lungs and Trachea
When you breathe the air goes through the trachea then out again with the wasteful air. Your lungs take the air and pump them to the bronchial tubes.
The Heart (and diaphragm)
The heart pumps your blood, and your diaphragm (not shown) goes up when you take a breath and then goes down when you breathe out.
Alveoli and Bronchial Tubes
The bronchial tubes may consist of some cells, if then, the air goes to the cell. After that the air goes to the alveoli, they are covered with complicity, they help you sperate the oxygen and carbon dioxide
Interdependence With Other Systems
The Respiratory System is interdependent with the nervous system, because the brain controls involuntary actions. The brain tells you to breathe. If there was no brain you would not be alive right now. The Respiratory System is also interdependent with the Circulatory System. The Circulatory System sends air and blood around the body.
