Some FAQ about WATCH D.O.G.S.
What is WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students)?
WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is a family and community engagement educational initiative. Learn more about WATCH D.O.G.S. here.
What are the goals of a WATCH D.O.G.S. program?
1) To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
2) To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
Who are WatchDOGS and how does WATCH D.O.G.S. work?
WatchDOGS are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official WATCH D.O.G.S. school.
What do WatchDOGS do (while they are at school)?
During the day, WatchDOGS may read and work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, patrol the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow, and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their own students but other students as well.
Many school principals have reported that the mere presence of a WatchDOG dad dramatically reduces reports of bullying. On the day of their participation, WatchDOG dads are given a brief review of their involvement and they wear an official WATCH D.O.G.S. t-shirt with a disposable ‘Dog Tag’ identifying them as a WatchDOG.

Boosterthon Fun Run
Robison families!
We are excited to kick off our Robison's 12th Annual Fun Run on Wednesday, October 20th. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to help our school and to strengthen our school community.
Our school has always relied on fundraising to provide exceptional opportunities to enhance student learning. And this year, we have more needs than we’ve ever had before, which means we need your support more than ever.
We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at mybooster.com. Sharing IS supporting!
Just as we worked to safely begin school this year, we are also safely hosting this essential fundraiser based on our school’s current guidelines. We’ll send more details, as we get closer to our kick-off.
Key dates to remember:
• REGISTRATION OPENS - 9/28
Register on MYBOOSTER.COM
• Fundraiser Kick-Off - 10/12
• Event Day - 10/20
SAVE THE DATE! You’re Invited!
We are grateful for our Robison family! Thank you for your support this year. We all need it!
Rockets RISE!
Hi Rocket Families!
We have been working hard to implement our school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) which we call RISE. We remind our students to “RISE up!” each day. Please review our RISE matrix, which shows how our students can show Respect, Integrity, Safety, and Effort in all aspects of their lives. Students can earn RISE Rewards and/or Class Dojo points for showing these positive behaviors throughout their day at school. These yellow rewards can be saved and spent at our school store (coming soon) and/or classroom incentives! Be on the lookout for future updates on exciting opportunities like our RISE Rallies, SEL-ebrations, and visits from JET, our Rocket mascot!

Fall Pumpkin Extravaganza
It’s time for students to get creative! Families may work together to decorate a pumpkin as their child’s favorite book character.
Pumpkins will be on display in the Library from September 22nd to October 5th. Students may drop off their pumpkins as early as Sept. 22nd to Sept. 30th. Please do not send pumpkins on the bus, parents may drop off their labeled pumpkins (with their child’s name and the teacher) at the front of the school on the cart or concrete bench labeled “Pumpkin drop-off” no need to come inside.
You may use a real pumpkin (no holes or carving), but craft/plastic pumpkins work best. Must be an elementary book character, do not send books. Turn in orange forms by Sept. 23rd.
Scholastic Book Fair
Scholastic Book Fair coming October 1st to 8th.
Family night is Tuesday, October 5th from 4:30-7 PM.
Students will bring home a wish list soon, you are under no obligation to purchase the books listed, it is a wish list😊 Students may sign up on eWallet to have an easy setup, the cashless, safe option.
Thank you for your support! Shop safely online from Sept. 25th to October 8th.
