THE STAFF SPOTLIGHT
This week, we continue to celebrate the work of our WD staff members who were awarded grants over the summer months. This week our staff spotlight shines on Mrs. Willaert and the Chieftain yearbook class. Mrs. Willaert applied for, and received, the Town of Gaston Endowment Fund grant. Mrs. Willaert was awarded $1,250 toward the Chieftain yearbook program. With these funds, the yearbook was able to purchase a new iMac computer, a digital printer/scanner, four memory cards for the cameras, and a memory card for the reader. These items were vital for the yearbook to continue, since the iPads cannot be used to help create our fine yearbook. Congratulations to Mrs. Willaert for all of her hard work in writing and applying for the Town of Gaston Endowment Fund grant.
HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY TO DEB BALDWIN ON TUESDAY!
You heard me right...it's Deb's 60th birthday on Tuesday! Deb likes to say she is 18 with 42 years of experience. Don't miss the chance to celebrate with Deb on Tuesday!
#WDpride
Our hashtag for the year, #WDpride, is taking flight. Many staff are using it as they post to various social media outlets to celebrate their classrooms! We have even had our students and parents catch on to our hashtag! This is AWESOME! If you have something you think Warrior Nation should see, post it and include #WDpride! Take a look at some examples or our #WDpride below! Keep knocking down those walls! YOU ROCK!
