Congratulations to the Class of '23 top scholars.
This year we have 3 Valedictorians who have all held a perfect 4.0 GPA since freshman year! Well done to all our top ranked scholars who will be recognized at Laurels in May and presented with individual graduation medallions.
Class Rank/Honor Roll/Principal's List can be found on the high school website at: https://skhs.skschools.org/our-school/honor-roll-principals-list-class-rank
A list of SKHS approved graduation regalia and qualifying criteria is listed on the high school website. All other stoles, leis or cords should be kept for photos and celebrations before or after the commencement ceremony at the Tacoma Dome.
The Performing Arts Stole (silver) and the Scholar-Athlete Stole (white) is available to purchase from the ASB office. Students who qualify for this honor can check with their teacher/coach (or ask Ms. Robinson in the ASB office) These stoles are available to purchase from the ASB window for $10 each.
Students are able to decorate the top of their mortar cap to recognize any other organization/club/future career or college etc. Visit the school graduation information online for guidelines and recommendations for decorating your grad cap.
Got Money?
If you have been awarded scholarships, awards, and/or grants from the colleges and universities you have been accepted to, we’d love to hear about them! We add up all the awards and share the total amount our students have been offered to both congratulate the class of 2023 and to be an example to next year’s seniors.
You can pick up a form from the Counseling Office or forward award letters to Ms. Greene at greene@skschools.org.
Class of 2023 LIFE Plans
Do you have a plan for next year? Then we have a LIFE car for you!
We want to recognize the many paths our seniors will take after graduation. If you have been accepted to a college, university, trade school, community college, or other training program, we want to know! If you are enlisting in the military, we want to know! If you are going into the workforce, we want to know!
Come by the Counseling Office to fill out your LIFE car and we will put it in the hallway display case.
Last call for Yearbooks!
There are a limited number of yearbooks left for purchase. If you haven’t bought your senior yearbook, don’t wait! Last year we sold out and there were no extras for purchase.
Yearbooks can be bought at the ASB office for $60 or online at the school web store.
Seniors will have the opportunity to pick up their Yearbooks ahead of the rest of the student body. Seniors Only Yearbook distribution times - Mon & Tues, June 5th & 6th during all lunches or Wed, June 7th before school from outside room 178A in the common projects area.
