Principal's Corner #1
July 23, 2020
For those of you new to COT, I welcome you! The Principal's Corner is a weekly communication that typically goes out to all staff every Friday. With all the information coming at us, I thought I'd start this a little early this year.
As you know, our district has been working endlessly to provide a smooth start to the 2020-21 school year. This continues to be an unprecedented time, and things continue to change on a daily basis. As you know, my flexibility falls in the first 3rd on my Emergenetics profile, so my battery is working hard! The "green" in me wants the structure, but as soon as we put a structure in place, something changes. With that being said, I appreciate your ongoing support and words of encouragement.
Dr. Siegfried has shared that the decision to start remotely or in-person will be made by looking at data associated with community spread, trends in the number of new cases, and the impact on hospitals in the metro Denver area in August. If the decision is made to start in-person, I will be pulling together a leadership team to help work through some of the details such as our master schedule. Please watch for more information to come. In the meantime, please use the remaining days of summer to relax, rewind, and enjoy your loved ones.
Much appreciation,
Katie
Lunch with the Principal
You may recall back in February I started a "monthly" lunch with the principal. Little did we know a few weeks later we'd be in the midst of a pandemic and teaching remotely.
Well, I am bringing it back!
Do you have something on your mind? Do you have questions/concerns? Are there celebrations you want to share? Do you have ideas you want to be heard? Or do you just want to talk and say hi? If so, join me on Wednesday's from 11:30-12:00. This is completely optional, with no agenda. Watch for an invite to come.
