Ramadan Mubarak! Ramadan Kareem!

Ramadan begins this weekend, and many in our Gables community will observe it throughout the month of April. Review the Ramadan newsletter below if you would like to learn more about this important month in Islam. During this time, Muslims greet others with, "Ramadan Mubarak (Blessed Ramadan)!" or "Ramadan Kareem (Generous Ramadan)!"

Parent Portal - Get Connected!

Grades, School Choice Lottery applications, Summer Experience signup, and family information updates are all done through CCS's online system, Parent Portal (also called Infinite Campus). You can watch the most recent family informational session on how to navigate the Parent Portal here.

School Start Times: Provide Feedback

CCS is exploring future school start times for elementary and secondary schools. Now through April 8, 2022, the District is collecting feedback from students, families, staff, and community partners: Click here to complete a brief survey.

Art Show Help & Artist Needed

The PTA is seeking volunteers to help with the Art Show committee. If you're interested in helping with our first in-person school-wide event, please reach out to the PTA at gablesgators@gmail.com or message Gables PTA in Bloomz. Immediate help is needed in visiting local businesses for donations. An explanation letter and Tax ID note (donations are tax-deductible) are available for volunteers to use.

Do you know a local artist who would be willing to create gator-themed art live during the Art Show? The PTA offers a small stipend and the cost of supplies to an artist who is interested. Interested artists should email gablesgators@gmail.com.

Books for Pathway Express

Over the next couple of months, five packets of books corresponding to the Pathway Express themes will be sent home with each student. The first packet is currently being distributed - you may have already received it!

Teacher of the Year Nominations

Gables PTA is sending home nomination forms for Teacher of the Year. Students and families can nominate their choice to be honored during the Art Show on April 29 by completing the form and returning it to the school. Check green folders for the form.
