Titan Staff Spotlight: Did you know ?
"Brian received this award for his outstanding achievement and leadership within the community. As a two year starter for the Sacramento State Hornets in 1988 and 1989, he starred as a second baseman. During his tenure as a player, Brian led his team to the Division II College World Series in 1988 and was recognized as a First Team All American by the Association of Professional Coaches.
At the conclusion of his playing career, Brian moved into a coaching role with the Hornets, acting as an assistant coach for 11 years. He has since continued to give back, working as a counselor for the last 15 years. Brian has had an immeasurable impact on his players and students and has an unmatched passion for the Sacramento community. He truly embodies what it takes to be a hornet."
Brian continues this tradition of being a transformational coach as he coaches his son's baseball team, the Stingers. He truly cares about all kids and their growth and we appreciate all that he does for our staff, students and community. Stingers Up!

Cyber Titans to the rescue!
Cyber Titans are participating in this years CyberPatriot competition. Round 1 found the Titans towards the top of the pack which includes roughly 6000 teams from across the country and Canada. The Cyber Titans worked very hard to try to land in the top tier of CyberPatriot which is the coveted Platinum tier. For those that aren't familiar, CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air Force Association (AFA) to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future. At the center of CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, which puts teams of high school students tasked with managing the network of a small company. Through a series of online competition rounds, teams are given a set of virtual operating systems and are tasked with finding and fixing cybersecurity vulnerabilities while maintaining critical services. The top teams in the nation earn all-expenses-paid trips to Maryland for the National Finals Competition where they can earn national recognition and scholarship money!!!
We will know at the end of next week how well we did in this competition.
