El Dorado Monday Memo
Week 5 September 16th, 2019
#ToroFamily
I hope everyone had a restful, restorative weekend. As we enter Week 5 we have completed our First 21 Days but it would be a great time to remind students of our routines and procedures for your classes as well as all around campus. Sometime this week go back to the start of our First 21 Days slidedeck and review our 3 Be's with students. Perhaps this could be a starter or exit ticket for a couple of days this week. Please check out the updates below and have a great week!
Updates for the week...
Progress Reports: Yep, it is that time and it really snuck up on us this 1st quarter. The window for PRs will be open until midnight tomorrow night. Please make sure you get them done.
Wednesday 9/18 Grade Level Meeting: We will be having our first grade level meetings of the year Wednesday. We will be sending out some agenda templates to help guide your meetings if needed and locations on Tuesday. Special Ed and Math departments will be meeting separately.
iReady Testing: We have pretty much finished up our first round of iReady testing. We will be sending out scores to ELA and Math teachers this week.
If you have yet to do so, please remember to complete your Mandated Training by Oct 31st. Information can be found here.

Being safe is not snitching
There are times when it is important to tell an adult if you know something is going to happen. When you report something to protect your safety or someone else's, you are not snitching. You are choosing to be safe.
- If you know someone is a danger themselves or someone else, you should tell an adult.
- If you know a fellow student is being bullied you should tell an adult.
Choose to be safe.
This Week in AVID
This Week in AVID - September 16, 2019
AVID Weekly and AVID Elementary Weekly are great resources! They provide relevant texts with accompanying lesson plans that wrap WICOR strategies around the critical reading process. Here’s the really good news: we are archiving them and putting all the articles and lessons on the AVID Google Classroom page! Our AVID schools may access them on My.AVID.org under the eLearning tab. Schools who have not yet joined AVID may access them HERE.
