FREE/REDUCED LUNCH STATUS - VERY IMPORTANT
This waiver ends May 27. Any student whose family has not completed the free/reduced lunch forms for this school year or who has not completed direct certification will immediately be charged full prices for breakfast and lunch if he/she is attending summer school.
It is extremely important for ALL families to complete the free/reduced lunch forms immediately to avoid these costs. Many, many families qualify for this benefit without realizing they do. Cost of living has risen significantly over the last few years - if we can assist with this - please let us help. We will have tables set up at every event to help families from now until the end of the school year.
A new form will have to be completed for the 2022-2023 school year after July 1st. The application is available at the following link: https://myschoolapps.com/Application
Dear LSE Family,
THANK YOU to all of our families who came to our first all school family night this week! We LOVED opening our school for over 150 students and parents to have a meal together, laugh together, learn math in such a fun way, see our wonderful building, and honestly just be a LSE family. We have missed all of you so very much! I loved hearing the cheering when somone won a drawing!
Our next big family event is Saturday, April 23rd from 11-2. Our PTA is hosting our school carnival. Our hope is that we have amazing weather and we can be outside for the whole day. We are hoping to pull this carnival off completely free to our school community! We will be asking for donations and volunteers soon so be watching for emails and messages from LSE!
We are so glad to be back to our outreach and event planning!
Much Love,
Mrs. Sanders, Principal

Planning for Next Year!
WE NEED YOUR HELP GETTING STUDENTS TO SCHOOL DAILY AND ON TIME!
Please work to get your children to school on time and get them to school each day! When students are late or miss school all together, they miss valuable instruction time. Students can enter the building at 8:10 each morning. They are considered tardy at 8:25. We really need your help in getting your children to school on time. This helps get their day started off in a positive way. Most of our classroms start the day with a short family meeting to discuss current events, social emotional well skills, or classroom expectations. They move right into instruction of math or reading immediately. It is imperative your children are at school on time!
WE KNOW TIMES ARE HARD FOR SOME OF OUR FAMILIES! USE OUR PANTRY!
Did you know LSE has a food pantry and clothing closet? Last year we collaborated with our district facilities department and the Summit Church to convert one of our storage rooms into this space! This fall the Summit Church built us an amazing shelving system for shoes, clothes and coats so that we could stay organized!
If you have needs for winter coats, jackets, shoes, socks, or clothing, please do not hesitate to reach out to our front office! We can schedule a time for you to come in through our gym door and help you find what you need!
We also have a food pantry for non-perishable food items. We use these items to fill our two pantries out front but also can help families that may need food!
We accept donations too! We especially need nonperishable food items, self care items such as shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, and bath soap!
Call our front office if we can be of assistance or to drop off donations! 816-986-3340.
