January Lab Scheduling

January lab scheduling will open up first thing on Thursday, Dec 18th. Any requests submitted after the end of the school day on Friday, December 19th will be scheduled when we return in January.

Changes to your Desktop

All teachers SHOULD have the icon for "Student Activities" back on your desktop. Students will now find the "Student Activities" folder by visiting the Start Menu --> All Programs --> Student Activities.

The icon for Webmail is no longer on your desktop. When you need Webmail, you can find a link on the Page website under Staff. When at school, visit the Start Menu --> All Programs --> Microsoft Office --> Microsoft Office Outlook 2010.

Powerschool Gradebook

Sally or Jenn will submit a Helpdesk ticket when your Grade Book will not open in Powerschool. This is a continuing problem that we hope will be resolved by Technology Services soon!

App of the Month

Padlet is a virtual wall or bulletin board to which your students can add content (i.e. images, videos, documents, text) in order to collaborate in one place. It can be embedded or linked and you can even set it so that you can approve your students' posts before they become visible.

Check out our Padlet example HERE!

Mr. Sparks shared Kahoot with the staff this week and many of you have been using it with your students. All they need is a smart phone and the ability to get onto the website in order to play quizzes, discussions, or surveys. You receive instant feedback on your students' understanding of the topic. Accounts are free!

Users with an Android phone can find the Kahoot App in the Google Playstore. Windows Phone and iPhone users can access the website through their mobile browser.
