Spring into Spring
Hello Northside Families,
We miss seeing your smiling faces. We hope everyone is doing well!! We want to share how we will be learning over the next several weeks. We will be posting our weekly activities page on the website each week and will continue to support learning through classroom Dojo and teacher made videos. We have some teachers that are going to try a new digital communication tool called Zoom.
What is Zoom?
Think about your smart phone and FaceTime. It is just like using FaceTime. Your classroom teacher wants to check in periodically to say hello, read a book, or share a small learning lesson.
What if I am not able to Zoom?
We will have a weekly activity guide the will be posted on our Northside page and shared through Dojo. The weekly activity guide will support our preschool curriculum. We have also add optional printable resources below the activity guide.
We have also added a Community Resource Page below. The resource page will be updated regularly about different opportunities or resources that are available in our district. Please call if you have any questions or need support. 502-633-5123 or email me at emily.swindler@shelby.kyschools.us

We will provide activities that support how people, animals, weather, and plants change from winter to spring!
Unit Essential Question: How do people, weather, animals, and plants change during Spring?
Unit Vocabulary Words: weather related words (temperature, sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy, evaporation), life cycle related words (root, stem, leaf, flower, seed, sprout, egg, larva, cresols/cocoon, hatch), Earth day related words (reduce, reuse, recycle, compost).

Northside Early Childhood Center
¿Qué pasa si no puedo hacer zoom?
502-633-5123 o envíeme un correo electrónico a emily.swindler@shelby.kyschools.us
