Wickersham International Dinner
The Wickersham International Dinner will be held on Thursday, March 17 from 6-7:30pm. This year’s event will once again allow Wickersham’s families to share food from where they are from. We will also have families sharing their languages and a little about their countries and have games from around the world. This event will draw a lot of families into our school and your help is needed. Please fill out the following Google Survey letting us know how you are able to help: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1fHT8hk-9xm3uWMeyyNVD7y5rOR2Ox1ambf8GBZmSBxc/viewform. Also, pink papers were handed out in Thursday Folders this week. Please return them to Elizabeth Kreckel or Maria Bertoncini. Thank you!

3rd-5th Grade Teachers!
In preparation for next month's monthly celebration, please remind students to write school appropriate trivia questions! This would be a great indoor recess activity or a quick morning work or morning meeting activity. All questions can be sent to Sefcik. Please remind students to include their name, question and answer. Don't stress it--questions can be as easy as naming characters from a popular TV show or general knowledge!
Thanks.

District Updates & Announcements
CASE Data Re-Collection-DUE MONDAY, FEBRUARY 29TH!!
Our district will once again be partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research and analytics organization, to learn more about our schools’ technology use for student learning. To better show our growth over the past year, and showcase the impact of our initiatives, we have made a commitment to re-collect. Our goal is to gather metrics on technology access and skills, and on our district’s technology environment, in order to understand the connection between technology use and student achievement. Re-collection also allows us to prioritize different initiatives based on the changes in our profile.
Please ensure all of your students take the survey.
Student Questionnaire: http://www.BByt.es/HY7VL
Student Questionnaire's take approximately 10 minutes!
All teachers should have received a separate email from brightbytes with a link to participate. Your participation is needed! It should take about 10 minutes.
Teacher Survey: http://www.BByt.es/HY7VT
The deadline to complete is February 29th.
From Dr. Rau
Please join me the first Friday of each month (March 4, April 1, May 6 and June 3) by wearing your favorite college apparel. Work-appropriate jeans are permitted on these days.
The teachers on the Elementary Instructional Design Team have created and shared a list of activities schools can use to promote this initiative, which were shared with principals. You are encouraged to create and share your own activities, as well as invite central office staff, parents and community members to be part of this celebration!
While I know college may not be for everyone, my goal is to guide students through the process should they decide to further their education. Thank you for sharing my vision as we work together to enhance opportunities for all students.
