WW2 IN THE PHILLIPENES
By Glenn Williams
Who What When Where Why
The war in the Philippines was a major battle that altered the course of the war. The battle was between the Japanese army vs the American and Filipino armies. These were very large battles during WW2. The Filipino army did not beat the Japanese army, but they majorly slowed there advance. This conflict took place between 1941-1945 starting with the japanese invasion, and ending with the American defense. These battles took place in the Filipino islands. These battles happened because the Japanese army need a closer launch point to attack the American fleet. The Americans defended the islands for the same reasons for a closer launch point to attack Japan.
