Clouds!!!
Cirrus Clouds
-made of ice
-cirrus means "curl"
-high and wispy
-high up in the atmosphere
Cumulus Clouds
-fair weather
-base: flat
top: rounded tower
-like "a piece of cotton ball or cauliflower"
-no precipitation
Stratus Clouds
-very gray
-can cause a light mist or drizzle (not always)
-covers entire sky
-resembled as fog
Cumulonimbus Clouds
-begin as cumulus clouds
-get high and high
-WATCH OUT CLOUDS (doesn't cover sky)
-precipitation and tornadoes
-strong shear winds (scary)
Cirrocumulus Clouds
-high level clouds
-fair weather
-same clouds as cumulus
-higher than alto clouds
-high like cirrus
Altocumulus Clouds
-take parts of cumulus
-fair weather
-higher than normal cumulus clouds, lower than cirrocumulus
-looks like "a bunch of cottonballs
Nimbostratus Clouds
-means rain
-low cloud layer
-continues falling of rain or snow
-dark and gray
-wet looking
Altostratus Clouds
-instead of low its higher
-in the middle (Alto)
-same traits of stratus
-covers entire sky
-resembles fog
Cirrostratus Clouds
-high level stratus
-like "a blanket in the sky"
Stratocumulus Clouds
-cumulus clouds traits
-lower than usual
-can be low like stratus clouds
