Northgate PFC

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!

As the dust begins to settle and we all fall into the routine of the school year, here is some information to get you acquainted with the Parent Faculty Club.

With your generous contributions to the Education Fund, the PFC is able to support and enrich the well being of each student at Northgate. Because of the changes in funding, for the first time in many years, the PFC will provide financial support for class sections. We have committed $60,000 to support three departments:

  • English
  • Art
  • Social Studies

We feel very fortunate to contribute to the curriculum which allows for more course selections for the students. If state funding continues to change we could face diminishing course options. To keep a robust curriculum for our children, we must step in and help.

The percentage of families making financial contributions to the PFC's Ed Fund has been trending down, with only 35% participation last year. If this continues, we will be less effective in meeting the needs of our students. Any dollar amount makes a difference. I implore you all to make a contribution that suits your situation. Donations can be made as a one-time donation or in 10 monthly installments. Make your contributions to the Ed Fund here.

I am always available to answer any questions and to hear your thoughts or concerns.

Sincerely,

Emeline Thomsen

Education Fund

The money donated to the Ed Fund helps bridge the gap between public funding and the current, true cost of the full education that Northgate offers. We are asking for donations of $400 per student. All donation amounts are welcomed - no amount is too small!

Corporate Matching

Many corporations match employee donations (or tax-deductible component of your membership) to our organization.

Corporate matching gifts are FREE MONEY for our school, so the minute or two it takes for you to fill out your company's form really makes a difference.

If you volunteer with us, your employer may also provide us with a grant as a way to recognize your ongoing support.
