Studies show that police are more likely to pull over and frisk African American or Latinos than Americans. African-Americans are 21% more likely than Americans to receive mandatory minimum sentences and 20% more likely to be sentenced to prison than White drug defendants. African-Americans have a higher percentage of getting longer sentences than Americans with the same crime.
