Eagle Band Headed to State!
The Argyle Eagle Band had quite a performance Tuesday, Dec. 8.
The band recorded the best performance of the competition at the UIL Area B event at Princeton High School. Argyle was crowned the UIL Area B Champions and advances to the UIL State Marching Band Championships on Monday, Dec. 14 in San Antonio.
The event included 19 bands competing for the four state selections. Argyle was the second-to-last band to perform and learned of the area champion results shortly after. The Class 4A State Marching Band Championships, which includes 20 bands, will be held Monday at the Alamodome with the competition starting at 3:30 p.m.
The Eagle Band will perform at 7:28 p.m. The championships will be live-streamed via the UIL website. The final results will be announced at 10 p.m.

Eagle Reminder: AHS & AMS Virtual Learning Friday
All students and staff at Argyle High School and Argyle Middle School will transition to virtual instruction for one day on Friday, Dec. 11.
This decision is based on staffing limitations Friday on both campuses due to active COVID-19 cases and quarantines among staff, the limited availability of substitutes and multiple coaches out due to the football playoff game in Abilene. AHS and AMS will return to their regular in-person learning & virtual instruction schedules on Monday, Dec. 14.
As a reminder, next week will include two early release days (Wednesday, Dec. 16 & Thursday, Dec. 17) and winter break will begin Friday, Dec. 18 for all students and staff.
