Want to learn a little MORE about ADVENT - here's Advent in Two Minutes

CYO Sports
This year we are using a new curriculum called Sports Medicine for the Soul to help teach our players Catholic Values. Each week we’ll review a character trait & Bible verse along with it.
Here’s this week’s trait: Trait 1: Strong Character. Character is the way someone things, feels, and behaves: someone's personality. You represent strength and consistency with our positive choices and actions when you have strong character.
Remember this Bible verse when praying for Strong Character: "…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control." Galatians 5:22-24

Special Request from Catholic Family Center
Catholic Family Center’s micro enterprise, Healthy Sisters Soup and Bean works, is in great need of volunteers to help pack soup & coffee for the holiday season. The program serves women in recovery and we desperately need volunteers between now and Christmas to meet seasonal demand.
We can use up to 10 volunteers at a time and would like them to serve in three hour blocks between 8 and 3 PM during the week from now until right before Christmas. They can do this one time or as often as they would like.
The minimum age is 16 with an accompanying adult. The location is 500 Lee Rd, Rochester NY 14606 and the program contacts are Ken Zablotny and Kathy Previte. They can be reached at 546-2784 during the hours above or by email at kzablotny@cfcrochester.org or kprevite@cfcrochester.org This is an excellent volunteer opportunity for families, especially when teens need community service hours.
Our Teen Leaders are so excited they're planning EXTRA Meetings! Join them AGAIN this Sunday!

Learn leadership skills, put those skills to use by planning and running classes for children, plan events for parish teens, help write Youth Nite Sessions, retreats and serve in the community.
