What We are Learning
Reading: We are very excited to continue our Folktales unit. This week, we will be comparing and contrasting various tall tales. We will discuss how storytelling is connected to culture. We will continue to practice with the RAPS strategy for our mClass written comprehension questions: R-restate the question, A- answer the question, P-prove it (where did you find it in the book), S- summarize.
Writing: Students will continue writing their own folktales this week.
Fundations: We will finish Unit 11 with our test of Friday.
Math: We continue addition and subtraction within 100 and move to addition and subtraction within 1,000. Please refer to the strategies sheet for the strategies that we use in class for help with homework.
Science: We are still enjoying Sound School! We will continue sound school on Wednesday. Mark you calendars! Our Sound School performance at the Orange Peel is on April 14th from 9:00 am-11:00 am.
