Making a Reservation for Lunch

Parents may make a reservation to eat lunch with their child. Below is information about how to make the reservation.

1. Parents may reserve 2 spots for adults per student. Younger siblings may join you.

2. You must sign up for each grade level lunch you want to attend.

3. We ask that you sign up only once per month, so that every parent has an opportunity to sign up.

4. All visitors must check in at the front desk with a current picture ID.

5. Use this Sign up Genius Link to reserve your spots for the month of November: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0A4EA4AA2AA5F85-stewart1

We look forward to seeing you!

Rezoning for Stewart and Gordon-Reed Elementary Schools

Please take a few minutes to review the various maps that have been posted to the school district website. https://www.conroeisd.net/about/abprocess-gordon-reed/. Although this rezoning impacts mostly students who currently reside in the Stewart attendance zone, it also has a small impact to other schools within the Conroe feeder zone.

To help Stewart families better understand the attendance boundary maps posted, I have included a list of the grade level configurations for the various scenarios. You will need to look at the actual maps to see how the boundary lines are drawn.

Scenario 6.2.3 will change Stewart to a K-4 campus (with an approximate enrollment of 562 students), and Gordon-Reed will open as a K-6 campus (with an approximate enrollment of 686 students). At the beginning of the 2022/23 school year, the 5th and 6th grade students currently zoned to Stewart will be zoned to Gordon-Reed.

Scenario 6.3.4 will keep Stewart as a K-6 campus (with an approximate enrollment of 678 students), and Gordon-Reed will open as a K-6 campus (with an approximate enrollment of 569 students).

Scenario 7.3.2 will keep Stewart as a K-6 campus (with an approximate enrollment of 705 students), and Gordon-Reed will open as a K-6 campus (with an approximate enrollment of 570 students).

As you can see, each map shows different attendance boundaries and different grade level configurations. It’s important to look at the elementary and intermediate maps for each scenario. There are pros and cons to each of these scenarios, and they will be explained during the public meetings on November 4 and 9. The November 4 meeting will be online through Zoom at 6:00PM and the November 9 meeting will be in-person at Stewart at 6:30PM.

November 4th @6:00PM through Zoom. https://conroeisd.zoom.us/j/81755598616

November 9th @6:30PM at Stewart K-6

Both presentations will be the same.

In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to me by phone or email if you have questions. I am happy to discuss any of the scenarios we are considering with you.

We plan to have large maps to show during the PTO meeting on November 5, that will be held in person at Stewart. Please try to attend one of the meetings so that you remain well informed.

You are welcome and encouraged to provide feedback for the committee to consider. Please provide us with ideas/scenarios you like, as well as, ideas/scenarios you do not like. The committee and our school board want your input.

You can provide feedback for the committee at https://www.conroeisd.net/about/abprocess-gordon-reed/.

It’s our goal to make the best possible decision for our students.

Future dates:

The ABC presents proposed zoning recommendation. Two dates offered for the presentation are:

January 10th @6:00PM through Zoom. https://conroeisd.zoom.us/j/83318805894

January 11th @6:30PM at Stewart K-6

Both presentations will be the same.

The ABC presents the zoning recommendation to the Board of Trustees on January 18, 2022.

We hope that you will put these dates on your calendar. We want to ensure our community is informed and hear your thoughts and ideas.

Stellar Student and Mighty Mustang Celebrations

Our next celebration for Stellar Student and Mighty Mustang will be on Thursday, November 18th.

Stellar Students are selected each month. They are voted on by their peers for exhibiting the character traits of Purpose, Respect, Integrity, Determination and/or Excellence. We celebrate our Stellar Students with a ceremony where they are recognized and given a medal. Students are provided with a breakfast from Chick-fil-a. Parents are invited to attend.

Mighty Mustangs are selected each month. They are chosen by their homeroom teacher for personal accomplishments. We celebrate our Mighty Mustangs by scheduling a time for them to play games and eat lunch with administration and counselors. Students are provided with a barbecue sandwich from Rudy's.

Stewart Mustang Mentor FAQ's

Stewart staff members have an opportunity to meet with individual students once a month and complete a special activity and enjoy a snack. This is a great opportunity for students to build special relationships with staff members. Many students participate in this program due to teacher referral or parent request. If your student is involved in the mentor program it is a wonderful opportunity to build relationships and make connections at school. If you are interested in your student participating or would like more information please contact Amanda Cheatham.

Personal Items

Please label all personal items with your child's name. This includes jackets, water bottles & lunch kits. These items are often forgotten around campus by students. We do try to get them back to the correct owner, when we they are labeled. The lost and found grows quickly and can be overwhelming to look through for our younger students. Talk to them about tieing jackets around their waist or leaving them in the classroom when possible. Together we can try to make it easier.

Generation Texas Week

November 15th-19th. Join Stewart Mustangs as we celebrate college and careers of our future! If you are interested in sharing your college or career experience with Stewart students please contact your student's teacher! We will be collaborating with community members to make guest appearances on morning announcements or zoom conferences to display various careers!
