Arrival and Dismissal Time Changes
We are working to streamline the dismissal process. Staring on Monday, September 27, the Tardy Bell will now ring at 8:10 am instead of 8:05 am. We will also be dismissing walkers and bike riders at 2:40 pm. We are working with the transportation department to ensure we have an efficient process and we expect to share additional adjustments soon.
Progress Reports
Next Friday, (October 8th), teachers will have grade updates for Progress Reports. Parents will be able to login to their Parent Portal account to see how their child is progressing. Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for November 11th (3:30 - 7:30 pm) and November 12th (7:30 am - 3:00pm) . You can look for information on how to sign up for virtual conferences in your child’s team newsletter.
Flight Crew
Mr. Graulty and the Flight Crew have been working hard to continue to support and model "a school environment where all students wake up inspired to learn and return home knowing they did their best at the end of the day". This past few weeks, the students worked to make a video to share with students and parents with an inspirational and positive message.

As you know, this is the last year in the
old Greene School. While we are looking forward to opening a new building, we are also working on ways to honor the memories that have been created here.
HERE is a survey we are asking you to complete. We have created a Transition Team to help with this work. The transition team currently consists of teachers, administration, parents, and staff alumni. We plan on burying a time capsule in the lower courtyard of the new building as well as other activities. Your input on this survey will help shape our path in honoring all who have walked the halls of EHG before it is demolished.
Final Forms - please check and update your information
Please check and update your student information on Final Forms.
As in the past, we need ALL parents or guardians to log into Final Forms and update any necessary changes for our 2021 - 2022 school year ASAP. That way, any potential issues/problems/questions can be addressed before our return to school at the end of August. Some forms require a student signature. The Covid-19 Parent Agreement must be signed before the school year begins. You are required to sign the forms at the beginning of each new school year. A signature is also required after any update or as additional forms are added.
Please be sure to go to the "Transportation Information" section in Final Forms. Here you may give permission to those who may pick up your child from school, and designate emergency contacts. Please be sure to "check" all those who will be able to pick up your child from school. Thank you.
Attention Registered Nurses
The Sycamore Community School District is currently looking for registered nurses who would like to be employed as substitute nurses. Applicants must have current nursing experience, preferably with children, special needs, diabetes and an active nursing license.

From Our School Nurse
Medication
If your child takes medication at school, please complete the medication order form and return to Laurie Dobrowolski, the school nurse. This form must be completed for daily medications, over the counter and emergency medications needed at school. Students are not allowed to
transport their own medication to school.
Immunizations

Mask Update
Face mask tips:
- should fit snugly and comfortably
- must be secured with ties or ear loops
- should comprise multiple fabric layers
- breathing should occur without restriction while wearing mask
- should be able to wash the face mask without causing damage or losing the face mask’s shape
Gaiters will not be considered an acceptable facial covering for school should a requirement be put into place.

Greene School Team T-Shirts
Thanks to those of you who ordered team t-shirts! We wanted to let you know that the t-shirt order is on delay. As with many products at this time, our supplier is having difficulty getting shirts shipped to her company. We are keeping in touch with her and as soon as she is able to get enough shirts to fill our order, she will print them and get them to us. Thanks for your patience.

Homeroom Parent Signup Form
Being a Homeroom Parent is a great way to support your child’s homeroom teacher and help them pull together celebrations or other social events. Bring your unique planning skills and personality to the role
Please note that with pandemic safety precautions at Greene School, parents will not be permitted to help in the building, but teachers will appreciate your help brainstorming fun activities and purchasing, preparing and dropping off materials for classroom events.

Activity Brochure
We are excited to release the Activity Brochure. These activities are a great opportunity for students to get involved and meet new friends. The sponsor of each club will come on our video announcements to share about the club and how to sign up a couple of weeks before they begin.
