Hearne Elementary's Playbook
Week of November 25, 2019
We are thankful for our newest addition to the Hearne family. MR. JAYDEN ANTHONY SANCHEZ
Why YOU [Teachers] Matter
Effective teachers drive learning. They help children master the skills they need to be creative, critical thinkers, and problem-solvers so that they can prosper in a rapidly changing world. Exposure to even a single highly effective teacher can raise student college participation rates and their income after graduation. Hearne Is blessed to have you here.
Let's remember the miracles we make every day at Hearne!
We can't control the messages our students receive outside the school but we CAN control our message to them in our building. They can and WILL achieve with our help!
Talk about impact! Press play and make a change today.
Never forget:
You are making a difference!
You matter!
Your students need you!
-Johanna Sanchez, Shon Brown, and Jose Serpas
Many teachers on our staff are continuing their educations outside of the required 14 hours.
Thank you for taking the time to help our students be productive students
It is great to work among so many outstanding teachers.
Perfect Attendance Update
This week, the classes with perfect attendance are:
Mrs. Sharla Daniel
Mrs. Angela Henry
Mrs. Patricia Law
As the weather changes and we get closer to the holiday season, let's continue to motivate our students to be present at school each day!
In addition to perfect attendance highlighted each week in the playbook, Mrs. Foster will be celebrating the classes with 97% or higher attendance each day.
Check out all the awesome things we did this week on Twitter! Keep tweeting the good things happening!
Mrs. Brown's Energy Message of the Week
The best Teachers are those who show you where to look, but don't tell you what to see.
We ARE an A campus! 22 weeks to go!

Reminders for all staff---
- Make good decisions over the holidays – As a public school employee, all eyes are on you.
- All staff should be at work on time every day.
- Plan ahead to ensure you arrive to campus before your scheduled duty begins.
- The Raptor system has been moved to the front office (temporarily). The expectation is for all staff to use it daily to sign in and sign out.
- If the Raptor system is down, we will do a manual sign in sheet where you will record your time in and out.
- You cannot Raptor in and be at your assigned duty at the same time. Campus safety is everyone's responsibility. It takes the effort from all players for our team to succeed.
It's no secret: You are doing a great job!
Every day we see you pouring your heart and soul into our building and our students. You are doing a great job! It takes a team to achieve championships and we are on the road to victory.
As we move into DCA season, know that your words of affirmation for our students can help them grow exponentially.
Stay encouraged.
Give your best every day.
Spread positivity like it is contagious.
Be a dose of Vitamin C, not a germ to our culture.
Be the reason someone smiles.
