Everything you need to know about the Counseling Program
Meet the School Counselor!
Having Fun in Character Education!
ASCA National Model
The TTES School Counseling program is based on the American School Counseling Associations National Model. The ASCA Model is designed to serve all students needs in the Academic, Career, and Personal/Social domains.
Individual Counseling
The School Counselor meets with students based on student, teacher, parent/guardian, or administrations requests. The School Counselor will meet with students and make referrals as needed. The School Counselor is not able to meet with students individually on a regularly scheduled basis due to the number of students at TTES, but through collaboration with parents/guardians, the School Counselor will ensure that student needs are met.
Small Group Counseling
Students have the opportunity to participate in Group counseling throughout the year. Groups are conducted on different topics based on needs. Groups last for 6 weeks and students must have parent permission to participate. Group counseling may also be offered during Aftercare.
Teachers supporting Career/College Week and Literature!
Themed Weeks
The Fine Arts Team works together to plan themed weeks throughout the year. This year we look forward to Kindness week, Wellness week, and Career Week!
General Information
Timber Trace Elementary has a comprehensive school counseling program covering the personal/social, academic, and career domains. The program serves all students at TTES through services such as, individual and group counseling, and classroom guidance lessons. The school counselor has permission to meet with students unless a parent previously requests otherwise. Students may request to see the counselor by placing a note in the mailbox in the Media Center. For questions about the school counseling program, email Brittney.thomasson@palmbeachschools.org.
