the Colossus of Rhodes
The Colossus of Rhodes was a sculpture built almost 2,300 years ago (300 years Before Christ) by Charas of Lindos .It was about the size of Statue of Liberty (110 ft. (33m) in Rhodes, Greece. Its purpose was to celebrate their victory over the ruler of Cyprus. The statue doesn't exist today, which was destroyed by an earthquake. This is considered as one of the seven wonders because it’s a huge technical statue that is advanced for their era (time period). This statue was built to represent the god Helios.
