Ranger Patrons,


With the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year just three weeks away, Raymond Park Intermediate & Middle School (RPIMS) is busy making preparations for students! Several changes for the 19-20 school year for MSD Warren and middle level education are highlighted in the Looking Ahead to the 2019-2020 School Year document that is included in this newsletter below.

The first order of business for the upcoming school year is registration. Registration is scheduled to occur next Tuesday and Wednesday, July 16th and July 17th, 12-8 PM, on both days. Detailed information regarding the registration process is provided on the Registration Information document that is also included below. All 5-8 students may be served on either day of registration. However, 5th and 6th grade counselors and grade level administrators will be available for meeting and discussion on Tuesday, 16th and 7th and 8th grade counselors and administrators will be available for meeting and discussion on Wednesday, July 17th.

Standardized Wear Guidelines and Supply List are also provided to help Rangers prepare for the upcoming school year!

Summer Feeding Program 2019

Free lunch is available each Monday - Friday, June 10th - July 19th (no service Thursday, July 4) to anyone 18 and younger at Brookview (Door 13), Eastridge (Door 11), Lakeside (Door 8), Pleasant Run (Door 1), Renaissance (Door 2), & Post Road Christian Church (Family Life Center). Lunch is available from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Liberty Park (Door 13) serves lunch from 12:15 - 1:00 p.m. this week and will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17th . Adult lunches may be purchased for $3.00 a person.

You may access the hot lunch menu for servings in the open school sites listed above (except Post Road): >>> Summer Feedings Program 2019 menus. The Post Road Christian Church site serves from cold lunch menu.

RPMS PTSA News

Don't forget to join our Parent Teacher Student Association and support all of the wonderful student activities and events throughout the school year! Your $7 membership earns you a weekly PTSA electronic newsletter and membership incentives. Our PTSA sponsors Back To School Night treats, the quarterly CORE Celebrations, teacher reimbursement for school supplies, end of year celebration treat for all students, 8th grade celebration gift, and staff appreciation days. Our PTSA coordinates the school-PTSA joint fall fundraiser, various 8th Grade Washington DC fundraisers, weekly slushy sales, RP-AMC monthly family movie events, Box Top collection contests, quarterly roller skating parties at the Roller Cave and Sonny Day Community Center volunteering nights.

SCHOOL DISTRICT PUBLICATIONS/NEWS MEDIA USE

The occasion may arise when the school district wants to recognize your child or your child's school. This may include your child's photo, your child's name or your child's work in district publications, newsletters, on school district websites, and in electronic/ social media or in staff training videos. We may also want to tell the media (including newspapers, television, and radio) about your child's achievements. We never knowingly release information about a student to anyone who wants to use it for commercial/ political purposes. However, we will honor your request to not include your child in these types of recognitions if you notify your child's school office in writing that you do not want this type of information released.
