Staff Updates Since the Summer Mailing
Please welcome the following new Labs to Mays!
- Mr. Tyler Reyda, PE supporting our existing PE program with Mr. Loyd. Mr. Semuskie has moved on to private industry.
- Ms. Morgan Scholtz, Music supporting our exciting Music Program with Ms. Marsh. Ms. Hunter has moved on to private industry.
- Ms. Christine Goode, SLP replacing Ms. Guetler moving on to another BCPS school.
- Ms. Heather White, Para Educator, newly added position

*For mitigation purposes we strongly encourage students to attend with only one adult. All visitors will be required to sign in at your child's classroom. Mask are required for all visitors.
Virtual Learning Program (VLP) Request
While the VLP enrollment deadline was July 2, 2021, families with students currently in BCPS can now request co-enrollment in the Virtual Learning Program. The link below should only be completed by families seeking consideration to enroll their child in the Virtual Learning Program. Completing the form does not guarantee your child a spot in the VLP. Each application is reviewed on an individual basis and will be either accepted or denied based on individual circumstances. All students need to attend their homeschool during the review process.

Technology - Act Now!
Please call the help desk at 443-809-4672 or enter a ticket to report an issue with your device or your password as soon as possible. Issues to report include damage, won’t start up, missing charger, etc. These issues could also include a forgotten or non-working BCPS password.

Arrival and Dismissal Information
Car Riders
- Arrival: Familes are asked to stay in their car and follow the drop off traffic pattern. A staff member will approach your car and assist with the transition into the school building.
- Dismissal: The traffic pattern will remain the same as morning drop off. Students will exit through the rec room doors and taken directly to your car by a staff member.
You MUST have your ID present for us to release your child.

Additional Adult Assistants
Additional assistants are temporary employees who provide support to individual students with moderate to severe disabilities to meet requirements necessary for participation in the school environment. They work under the direct supervision of the special educator who is the case manager for students with Individual Education Programs.This position pays $11.75 per hour and does not provide benefits. Additional adult assistant follow the same hour and schedule as students. The hours are 9:00am-4:00pm
Lunchroom Assistant
To assist in maintaining an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria, on the playground, and in other designated locations by helping and supervising students at mealtime and at playtime in accordance with Board policy and established district procedures. The hours are 11:00am - 1:00 pm.This position pays $11.75 per hour and does not provide benefits.
