Willink Titans CARE
October 18, 2019
Good Evening Willink Families,
It’s an exciting night on Publisher’s Parkway with Thomas homecoming activities already underway. As a reminder, the middle of Publisher’s will be closed to traffic starting at 4:30 tonight. Willink parking lots will be accessible from Hard Rd. and Thomas lots will need to be accessed by 5 Mile Line. For those headed to the game - we hope you enjoy the food trucks and other activities and please remember that we encourage middle school students to attend with an adult. Students being picked up should arrange for rides before the end of the event. Thank you again for your support with this.
I also wanted to make sure families are aware that there is no Willink Dance taking place tonight. Originally scheduled for this evening, we have needed to reschedule for 11/22. More information to follow as that date gets closer. If you haven’t already, I’d ask you to consider becoming a Willink PTSA member and purchasing the PTSA calendar. Both greatly benefit our students and the calendar is a wonderful tool to help keep track of our district’s many events. That being said, please make sure to also check our Willink website calendar as there are inevitably cancellations and rescheduled events that occur after the calendar goes to print.
Speaking of PTSA - we have seen great advantages in moving to string bags for students this year. Many students decided to purchase the Titan String Bags that Willink PTSA made available in August. If you would still like one of these bags, please follow this link to our Willink PTSA website.
As we look forward to next week, I’m excited to share the next meeting of the Webster F.I.R.E. (Families Igniting Racial Equity) Group will take place Tuesday at 6:30 PM at Webster Schroeder High School.
Enjoy the weekend!

The student/parent portal is an excellent way to monitor your child's progress. As always, please email your child’s teacher with specific questions related to classroom performance. If you have behavioral or social-emotional concerns, your child’s counselor would be the first point of contact. Again, working together we can help your child grow!

Willink In Action!
The box top for education homeroom contest is going on now until October 24. There are two ways to participate and earn money for Willink.
You can still clip any box tops you have at home and send them in to homeroom with your student.
The new way to earn box top is to scan your reciept using the new box top app. Check out this video on how to do it. How to use the new box top app
You can also GIVE CREDIT to your student through the app. Once you hit SCAN then touch the credit button with the star on it. Then type in your student’s name. At the end of the year prizes will be given to the top collector of boxtops thru the app.
