Message from Geordie
Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you are all having as good a start to the year as we are here at St Bernie’s! I have spent a lot of time with our students this week and it has been amazing to see the positive energy and calm, engaging classroom environments. Our staff have done a lot of work to make the start of the year a success and I thank them for all their hard work.
I would also like to thank all the parents for bringing their children back refreshed and ready to go. It’s clear that parents have been having quality, positive conversations with their students and setting them up for a successful year. I am looking forward to keeping the momentum going.
Clear communication continues to be a focus this year and we are working hard behind the scenes to ensure parents have all the information they need and that it is easily accessible. Next Tuesday 7th February, we will be hosting our Parent Info Sessions here at school. This is an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, ask any questions and meet other families from your child’s class. I will also be talking briefly about whole school goals and priorities between the two sessions. Please see below for all the details. Hopefully, you have received all the day-to-day information about the year in the ‘Welcome Letter’. We will be sending a feedback form to see how we went in Week 3’s newsletter.
I hope you have a great weekend
Geordie
