Parent Portal

For those that are not already signed up for Parent Portal, directions for setting up your account will be sent home again on Monday. Please call Mrs. Kim if you need any help getting your Parent Portal set up. This is an excellent way for you to keep up with your child's grades and attendance. This will also be the way you will receive your child's 3rd quarter report card. Once again, if you run into trouble setting up the account, please call Mrs. Kim.

Contact Information

We want to keep you as informed as possible. If you are not receiving messages from the school or the district, please contact Mrs. Brittany or Mrs. Kim to make sure we have your correct contact information and update if not.

If your child is quarantine, his/her attendance is based on whether or not they complete their work during quarantine. Please be sure to stay in contact with the teacher and help your child complete all that is assigned.

It's Been a Great Week at BES!!

It's been a great week at BES. Please continue to encourage your child to do his/her very best in school. We would also encourage you to be sure your child is present and on time unless he/she is sick. Attendance is a critical factor that impacts our students' achievement. "A missed school day is a lost opportunity for students to learn. Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance. This relationship between attendance and achievement may appear early in a child's school career. A recent study looking at young children found that absenteeism in kindergarten was associated with negative first grade outcomes such as greater absenteeism in subsequent years and lower achievement in reading, math, and general knowledge." Please know that we value your input. If you have any questions, comments, concerns or suggestions, please let us know. You can email us or call us anytime. We will respond within 48 hours of receiving the message. At BES, our mission is to partner with the home and community to provide a safe, supportive and innovative learning environment to ensure ALL students are equipped with the knowledge, skills and core values needed for success. These actions will enable us to reach of vision of creating a learning community that to Believe in themselves, Excel in performance, and Succeed in life.
