Beach Day - All School Field Trip
We will have an all-school field trip to Bishops Beach on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Permissions slips were sent home with students today. Parents are welcome to join us for this fun day at the beach as long as we are in the green or yellow COVID level. We will be keeping our cohorts separate on the buses and during our tide pooling/ beach walks. Please contact your child’s teacher or the school office if you can help. A few reminders below:
* Please call the school ahead of time if you plan on picking up your child from Bishops Beach. Busses leave the beach at 1:00.
*Please make sure that your student comes to school with the proper gear or possible rainy. cold weather along with a sack lunch. If you would like your student to receive a school sack lunch for Beach Day, please let their teacher know the day before.
*Email your teacher if you would like to volunteer for Beach Day. All volunteers must complete the 2020-21 KPBSD online volunteer application and be approved before the field trip. Background checks can take between 5-7 business days.

Play Day - Last Day of School!!
Rain or shine, it’s a celebration! Wednesday, May 19, 2021 we celebrate the end of the school year with a lunchtime picnic and afternoon play day. We’ll have hot dogs with all the trimmings served from 11:50 am until 12:50 pm. Parents are always welcome! Masks are required.
At 12:50 pm, The Dragons’ Play Day begins with fun for all! Past favorite events include sidewalk art, marble games and fingernail painting. Parents are invited to participate in, or lead play day events. Come see the sign-up sheet in the office. Help with one of our event ideas or add your own! The more events that we have, both indoors and out, the bigger blast our play day will be. We are gathering event ideas so be sure to add yours to the list! Here is a list of the picnic contributions students in each class should bring:
Corise: Chips
Anne: Hot Dogs
Ashley: Cookies
Kendall: Veggies and Fruit
