A Golden Morning for Titans!

On a beautiful Thursday morning, the courtyard was all smiles as students received their gold summa sashes for our graduation ceremony two weeks from today in Titan Stadium. 2020 Outstanding Senior Sophia Braithwaite came back to address the crowd and share her experience at her first year of the Albany College of Pharmacy and Human Services. We are looking forward to 2022 when this year's Outstanding Senior Brynn Smith will address the Class of 2022.
Thank you to Mrs. Marcello, Mrs. Pusateri and the cafeteria staff and our school counselors for all of their work in putting together this Thomas tradition.

Next week is our Summer Send off...
Student Council and Class Councils are planning a "Summer Send Off" the week of June 14th. This week will be a time for all of Thomas to celebrate the end of a challenging year and show some school and class spirit and competition.
Monday and Tuesday- Dress in your patriotic gear! its Murica Monday and Tuesday
Wednesday and Thursday- Dress in your class colors!!!
CanJam- We are also having a class competition food drive to benefit the Goodness Initiative.

Prom and Ball Update
The courtyard has been transformed!
If your attendee is a Thomas student, please use the Pikmykid app or the QR code below to verify their health status for the day.(PIKMYKID will not work on Saturday) Guests and remote students will need to scan a QR code upon entry and answer some simple questions. There is no testing requirement for this event. As this is an outdoor event, there are also no masking requirements for those who are vaccinated. For our unvaccinated guests, masking is encouraged.

Attention Class of 2024
Class T-shirts
In-person students who prepaid through the Class Dues program will receive their shirt in English class Thursday, June 10 or Friday, June 11.
Remote students who prepaid through the Class Dues program can pick up their shirt in the Thomas entryway beginning Thursday, June 10.
Students who would like to purchase a T-shirt may do so before or after school Thursday, June 10 - Tuesday, June 15 in Mrs. Sidoti’s classroom, room 339.
You may purchase a T-shirt for $10, or you can take this opportunity to participate in the Class Dues program. A payment of $160 will cover all four years of high school, or a payment of $40 will cover freshman year only. We accept cash or checks made payable to Webster Thomas Class of 2024.

Senior Chromebook Return will be taking place outside the cafeteria on Monday and Tuesday, June 14th and 15th.
After turning your chromebook in, you will receive a ticket to collect your cap and gown.
If you need to keep your chromebook later for any reason, come let us know and we will take your information.

Report from the fields
Girls Track and Field
The girls track team finished their season at Penfield with the class A-1 Sectional meet. The girls came out with several great performances. Kendall Liapis placed 6th in shot put, Heather Ashton had an all time best in the 800m as well as Ava Pezzimenti in the 100m. Carolyn Mack placed 4th in the 1500m and Sage Altobelli was 5th in the 2-mile. Skyler Klimow had a phenomenal throw at discus of 97’11” landing her a sectional championship.
Boys Track and Field
The boys Track and field competed in A-1 Sectionals at Penfield High School Thursday evening. Jackson Gloskey was The Section V Champion for the 110 meter hurdles. Sean Smith was the Section V Champion in discus with a throw of 146’6’ and Section V Champion in shot put with a throw of 48’9 ½”.
Boys Lacrosse
The Boys Lacrosse Team played a Quarterfinal Sectional game against Irondequoit Wednesday evening winning 11-8.
David Petz had 4 goals. Cade Spencer had 3 goals. Joe Russo and Nathan Hoban had 1 goal and 2 assists each. Chase Gottstein and Steven Zielke each had a goal each. Ryan Prine and Tyler Williams each had an assist on the night. Ethan Ruller Made 7 saves and allowed 8 goals in the win.
The Titans travel to Victor Saturday for a Semi Final match up against the Blue Devils.
Girls Lacrosse
The Girls played Churchville Chili Tuesday evening in the first round of Sectionals. They won the game 18-8. Maddie Quinlan led the way with 6 goals for the Titans. Kolbi Spencer and Mya Zeller each had 3 goals and 3 assists. Gwen Newtown added 2 goals and 2 assists. Taylor Ford, Grace Cunningham and Emily Roddy Cawley each had a goal. Addy Schaeffer had 1 goal and 1 assist on the night. Goalie Makayla Goetz had 10 saves on the night.
Next up for the Titans is Canandaigua
Baseball
The boys won the first round game vs Arcadia Monday evening .Max Heil went 5 innings and struck out 4 He also had a 2 run single. Dom DelVecchio had 3 hits and 1 RBI. Garrett Wilson and Colby Wilson each had 2 hits and 1 RBI.
The Titans Played Geneva Wednesday in a sectional Quarterfinal game. They won 9-2 and advanced to play the Semifinal game Friday against Spencerport at the Basket Road Field. Paul Stofinski scattered 3 hits and had 7 strikeouts to pick up the win on the mound. Max Heil was 2-4 with 3 RBIs. Mitch Kelly was 2-3 with a double and 2 stolen bases. He scored 3 runs and had 1 RBI. Garrett Willson had a triple and 3 base on balls. Greyson McDonnell and Joe DiNieri each had a hit in the win.
The boys take on Spencerport today( Friday) at 4:45pm at Basket Road Field. With the winner advancing to the Finals next Tuesday evening.
Softball
The Thomas Titans beat a Tough Pittsford Mendon team in the quarterfinals sectional play 16-10. The girls were behind heading into the 6th inning 8-6. Maddie Throumoulos went 3-5 with 5 RBIs. Maddie Hicks went 2-3 with 2 doubles. Mary Marapese was 3-4 with 4 RBIs Izzabella Giorgione went 3-6 and Emma Bello was 2-3.
The Titans take on West Irondequoit at Irondequoit Saturday at 11 am.
Boys Tennis
The Titan Tennis team lost 5-2 to Penfield in the first round of Sectionals. Kyle Mele and Owen Calus won in 2nd Doubles and Ryan and Sean Meyers won 3rd doubles.
