Music Takes the Stage!
Did you get to see the gym on March 13? It was packed with chairs and people for the 1st-3rd grade music program! Over 200 attendees and participants were in the gym that night. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders did an outstanding job singing patriotic songs!
The older kids hit the stage on March 20, singing songs from Indiana composers and about Indiana. 5th graders sang IN university fight songs - pulling out signs for VU, and 4th grade sang all about the Indiana countryside.
Choir also worked extremely hard, memorizing over 5 songs! Choir’s songs were also about Indiana. They did a wonderful job singing and performing! Mr. Meyer, our music teacher, did a great job playing piano too.
Kids Rule Our School!
Student Council has been a great help to our community and our school this year. Everyone who helps has been an asset in the Council. Student Council does many things for our school-and it’s mostly run by kids!
Welcome, Grownups!
Special People Day is coming up soon, and many kids’ relatives are coming to our school to hang out and do fun things. Parents, grandparents, and other people are coming for an hour. All the grownups are going to get the chance to do activities like poetry night and walk around the school with their kids, grandkids, or nieces and nephews.
That’s all the news for now! We hope you enjoyed reading this article as much as we enjoyed writing it.
THANK YOU
and goodbye!

Nurse Notes
Studies show that students who eat breakfast do much better in school than students who skip breakfast. Breakfast eaters concentrate better,
have more energy and have better muscle coordination. Breakfast eaters score higher on tests.
Remember to choose a breakfast that is well balanced. A balanced nutritious breakfast contains protein and protein stays in your body all morning.
A breakfast that is high in sugar will burn off very quickly and leave you tired and hungry well before lunch. When choosing a breakfast be sure to choose
foods that will stick with you and last until lunchtime. Lots of foods contain protein. You can find protein in foods like eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese and
peanut butter. Read the labels and see which foods contain protein.
Start your healthy breakfast plan today!
