Did You Know ALL STUDENTS Need Office Hours?
Office hours are so important to the academic success of high school and college students. The one- on- one time with teachers can help a struggling student improve and can also help the proficient student excel. For 9th and 10th grade students, this time with teachers is called HERO time. HERO stands for homework, enrichment, reteaching/reviewing, and organization. HERO occurs during Period 4 for freshmen and Period 5 for sophomore students. During this time, students are encouraged to:
- Get a jump start on homework/projects
- Meet with teacher to review material
- Engage in enrichment activities with teacher.
- Get organized
We look forward to supporting student academic achievement!
The Present Dei
The Grad at Grad is a list of six characteristics that all Jesuit, Cristo Rey schools hope their graduates will embody. For Verbum Dei, this list represents the overall goals of our academic, athletic, and spiritual programs.
