ACADEMIC INFORMATION AND QUESTIONS/ANSWERS
We have received questions in regards to your student’s grades and how they will be affected by this closure and new way of learning. Your student’s grades as of March 15, 2020 can only improve by completing and submitting any incomplete, missing, or re-taking of work/assessments assigned before March 15, 2020. For grades 9-12, consistent participation in continuous learning will ensure your child will receive course credit. If a student chooses not to participate in continuous learning, the student will not receive credit for the course.
Please see the information below regarding AP, Dual Credit, A+, ACT, and EOC exams. Additional information will be sent to students involved in these courses/programs.
My student is taking an AP course. What should they do? AP courses will continue with new learning administered by the teacher of record. Students/families will receive guidance from their teachers directly. The AP program is posting updates about their tests on their website.
My student is taking a Dual Credit course. What should they do? Dual Credit courses will continue with new learning administered by the teacher of record. Students/families will receive guidance from their teachers directly.
What will happen with my students' A+ eligibility? In response to multiple school closures as a result of the COVID-19 virus, the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development is issuing guidance for 2020 high school seniors’ A+ Scholarship eligibility - please visit this page. This guidance is temporary and only applies to 2020 seniors. All other high school students will be required to meet the A+ Scholarship requirements outlined in Section 160.545, RSMo and the A+ administrative rule, 6 CSR 10-2.190.
My student was scheduled to take the ACT in April or was registered for an ACT prep session? What will happen with those? The April ACT National testing day and the district's ACT boot camps have been canceled. Students can register for ACT's upcoming National Test Dates with this link.
Will our students take MAP and EOC state tests this school year? The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education canceled all remaining state testing for this school year.

PCHS Senior SCHOLARSHIPS
We are working with LOCAL scholarship providers to review submission deadlines and processes while our building is closed. Please complete applications, but do not submit them to PCHS staff via email or mail until we are able to update you on new procedures. For all other scholarships, please follow procedures that are listed on the provider's website. Thank you!
UPCOMING EVENTS, ACTIVITIES, AND STUDENT BELONGINGS
We know there are students/families concerned about various events and activities that are upcoming or could be canceled/postponed due to our school closure (prom, graduation, concerts, the last day of school, summer school, activity/athletic tryouts, etc.). These are all important parts of the school experience. We will provide answers as soon as we can and will update our calendars with any information on cancellations, postponing of events, or alternate options.
While we are limiting the number of staff in our buildings, if you need to pick up learning materials or belongings, please email your building principal to make an appointment.
