Go Tigers! Beat FSU!
From the Principal
Dear Parents,
It’s Bus Driver Appreciation Week! Thanks to all of our outstanding drivers who get our kids safely to and from school daily. Our CCES team really takes pride in their job. I see them greeting students by name and genuinely taking an interest in getting to know each one. Our drivers have a very difficult job as I have ridden on many of their routes personally and seen what they face. I tell you, I could not do it. They truly are experts of their routes and the community. We are grateful for all of them.
Glo is in full swing. Did your kids tell you about our pep rally last week? Our Glo moms put on an awesome performance not to be outdone by our Glo dads who transformed into “Glotrotters”. If you have not seen how fabulous our school looks, please make sure to come by before all of the decorations are taken down. Numerous parent volunteers canvased our school last Thursday night and did such a fantastic job capturing different types of games posted on our walls. The kids absolutely love it! Glo takes such a community effort. You all never cease to amaze me with how giving you are to our school. I want to thank Mrs. Selby and Mrs. Fratesi for continuing to take on this challenge year after year. They put their hearts and souls into this work. Also, thanks to all of the Glo reps from each homeroom. We cannot wait to celebrate on November 9th. Keep up the remarkable fundraising. I believe we can beat last year’s goal!
Our IOWA Testing for Grades 3 and 5 went smoothly as expected. Thank you to our entire school team for creating a quiet and secure environment which allowed these scholars to do their best work.
Lastly, thanks for everyone’s support last week during Milton homecoming. I saw so many Colts along the parade route and at the football game. You guys always make me so proud. Also, I want to congratulate our girls who twirled with the Milton High band last Friday night. You all were great! Please enjoy a few pics of the evening below.
We are over 30% through our school year. Because November and December include holiday breaks, you all know these days fly past us quickly. Let’s continue to enjoy each moment we have together during the 18-19 school year.
This weekend is Clemson vs Florida State. We have a few Seminole fans around here including Ms. Haltrecht and our crossing guard. May the best team win! Enjoy your weekend.

Student Ambassadors Sponsor Food Drive
The CCES Student Ambassadors are partnering with North Fulton Community Charities to provide Thanksgiving groceries to local families in need. You can help us support their efforts by donating non-perishable Thanksgiving food items. We will start collecting food items on Monday, October 29th-Wednesday, November 7th. Student Ambassadors will visit classes daily to gather food donation items from students. Thank you for your support as CCES joins this great cause to help those in need. See the list below for a list of suggested items.
Glo For It Happening Now!
Glo For It kicked off on October 19th! Fundraising ends on November 2nd. We have our school wide celebration on November 9. The celebration will have a similar format as field day which is a wonderful event and a favorite of our children. By doing it during the day, every single student will be able to attend the celebration. We are so excited for this! We count on Glo For It funds to support many things that are not paid for by the county, including in-house field trips, curriculum support materials, books, technology, the science lab, and so much more!!
