Recap of the month of August, so far at Lincoln we....
Had an awesome Ice Cream Social Sponsored by our PTO, welcoming all families and staff back to school?
Our PTO sponsored a welcome back coffee on supply drop-off.
Students began the new special EMPOWER with Ms. Vincent learning about play, games, rules, and creatively making their own games or adapting games.
Learned about the LIncoln Expectations, Lincoln Leopards are Respectful, Responsible and Safe above is our two new banners purchased by our PTO--Thank you!
All students were assessed using the iReady
We have successfully completed three and a half weeks of school
Shield testing has taken place for three weeks!
Here are some highlights from some of our primary students answering
What I like so far about Lincoln?
- Sophia in ADK replied, "I like the playground and the slide."
- Hudson in AMK replied, "I like Gym--we do fun stuff!"
- Jada in AMK replied, "I like art we make things."
- Freja in 1B replied, "I like recess, we run around, I also like math when we do number bonds!"
- Jude in 2K replied, "I like art, I like to draw!"
- June in AMK replied, "I like learning!"
Tomorrow is a nonattendance day for students, but the teachers and staff will be continuing to work hard to plan, learn and prepare for many great learning opportunities for all. Our K-2 teachers will begin implementing the new phonics program and will participate in learning to successfully implement our core phonics program. Our 3-5 teachers will participate in further learning and planning related to our ELA and Social Studies integration. All specialists will meet with their groups and extend their learning related to their curriclums.
