Our Path Note Topic
WASD has worked to provide opportunities for all staff to receive a vaccination for the COVID-19 virus. Our folks that qualified for Phase 1A have received their vaccinations.
- March 18 at the Lincoln Intermediate Unit (LIU) will begin the first wave of WASD employees to the LIU. This is the state-run system for the vaccination. It is the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The J & J is a one shot vaccination. This is Phase 1.
- March 19 at Keystone Health in Chambersburg will be the opportunity for everyone else that did not select the LIU option. That will be the Moderna vaccine of two inoculations. The second dose will be provided exactly four weeks on April 16.
If you were not able to sign up for the LIU J & J, there will be another round of doses coming to the LIU in a few weeks (Phase 2). That information will come out later. If you were not able to get a slot at Keystone Health, you can continue to try signing up for a slot. However, you will not have release time since it would not be on the days the district had as remote or PD days.
- If you are scheduled for the Phase I LIU vaccination and have questions regarding the registration process, you may contact PA Dept of Health at 833-768-0839.
