A Message from Mrs. Caudill
If you are like me you have been running at 150 miles per hour for the last few months. It is important to rest, relax and rejuvenate. Making sure that our students, staff, and families have the opportunity to completely detach themselves from school—physically and mentally—on the days they’re off is an important part of our commitment to honoring the whole person. (Leader in Me fans call this “Sharpening the Saw.”) In other words, we know our students and staff have lives outside of school, and guess what? We want them to enjoy those healthy, balanced lives!
I plan to take this holiday weekend to pause - enjoy the sunshine, dig in the dirt, listen to the birds chirp and not worry. I hope you do the same
Stay Well,
Devon Caudill

Covid Information and Updates
NPS COVID RESPONSE REMINDER
Updated 5/14/2022
COVID-19 cases increased across the state and in our community over the past few weeks placing our county and many counties across the state in a “HIGH” community risk category. The CDC and MDHHS recommend that individuals wear masks indoors and on public transportation. At all levels, the CDC recommends people get vaccinated and boosted, and get tested if they have symptoms, and suggests that anyone wanting to wear a mask should do so.
This is a reminder to our students, staff and families to be mindful of the current community level and plan accordingly for the needs of yourself and family members. Under the CDC and MDHHS guidance, risk levels are based on hospital capacity, hospital COVID admissions and COVID-19 cases.
SCREENING and REPORTING REMINDERS
As a reminder, PLEASE continue to use the COVID screener tool EACH day. Children who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 need to stay home from school and parents need to seek medical attention. This is an important measure that will help prevent or reduce the spread of the virus in our schools. In addition, please contact your child’s school via the attendance line and report that there is a positive case in your household. Do not send your child to school if there is a COVID positive case in your household. You will receive further instructions from your school and we will follow the NPS COVID RESPONSE PROTOCOL, as recommended by MDHHS.
BUILDING and DISTRICT CASE REPORTING
If you would like to be aware of the cases reported to each building, please visit the NPS COVID-19 Case Transparency Report, found under the COVID-19 Dashboard link on the main page of the district website. This transparency report is updated throughout the week with cases identified by building and grade level.
