Welcome Back!

I hope that everyone was able to enjoy spring break. As we come back to school, we are at the start of the 4th Marking Period. We have already completed 3/4 of the school year. The 4th Marking Period is always a busy time of year with spring sports and year end activities. In the building we will also be focusing on our spring testing and year end NWEA testing.

Report Cards will be posted this week. I would encourage you to reach out to teachers if you have concerns. We are still holding after school study hall every week to provide extra help. We want to see your child succeed.

Report Cards Posted Tuesday - March 29th

Final Report Cards for Marking Period 3, will be posted by the end of the day to the Parent Portal. You will receive an email to notify you when grades are posted.

Track and Field Begins Monday

Practices for Track and Field will begin on Monday. This is open to boys and girls from 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Students will need to have a sports physical on file.

Students should come prepared to run inside or outside depending on the weather.

Spring Testing

Dates for Spring Testing of all Grade Levels has been set. Our testing will begin with our 8th graders completing the PSAT on April 13th. All grades will then complete their required portion of the M-STEP on April 19th and 21st.

Core Classes will provide students with the opportunity to see the sample test items so that they are familiar with the layout of the test and the online tools available to them.

It is important that your child is able to have a good night's rest prior to testing. We will make sure that all students have an opportunity for breakfast prior to testing.

4/13 - PSAT (Estimated time 2.5 hours)

4/19 - M-Step Science (Estimated time 1.5 hours)

In the event that your child is absent on one of the testing dates, they will be pulled for make-up testing.

After School Study Hall

If your child needs additional help, access to reliable internet, or even just a place to stay after school; we offer After School Study Hall on the following schedule.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:05 - 4:05.

Study Hall is held in a classroom in the Junior High. Adults are available to provide assistance and check grades.

This is a great option for students that find themselves getting behind in work. No need to sign up, drop in and get some help.

After School Clubs with Mr. Renfro

Tuesday Art Club: Watercolors - Our focus will be on learning to use watercolors for backgrounds and landscapes. All of the materials needed will be provided.

Wednesday Pilot's R.C club - We will be learning how to program the DJI Tello Drones with Scratch. Only students interested in pre-programmed flight patterns are to attend. There will be no open drone flying.

Thursday Game Day Club - The Adventure begins as we go deep into the depths of the earth. Gamers are welcome to bring board games, and non-electronic games to play.

End of Day Transportation Changes

In the event of an unexpected change to your child's after school transportation - please call prior to 2:30pm. The end of the day can be very busy in the main office and at times it can be difficult for us to get messages to students.
