Harvey Green Families,

Thank you to all the families who attended our various events last month. A huge thank you to the PTA and all of the volunteers for bringing back the Fall Festival! It was so much fun! Here is a video of our Halloween Parade in case you missed it.

This month we have a few important events as well. On Monday, November 14th Harvey Green is participating in Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day to promote safe and inclusive schools and communities for all. Wear purple on November 14, 2022 to celebrate Ruby!

We will also be holding parent-teacher conferences in November. Please contact your child(ren)'s teacher to schedule your appointment if you have not already scheduled it. Prep teachers are also available by appointments.

As rainy days are approaching us please make sure you continue to follow all arrival and dismissal rules. Parents should not be on campus and still need to remain in the waiting areas. During the rain I suggest giving yourself more time to arrive as the traffic is usually much heavier.

I hope everyone has a wonderful fall break. Take time to rest and enjoy your families!

Hello Harvey Green Families,

For the month of November, the counseling lesson topics are Size of the Problem and Conflict Resolution. As students learn to pause and think about the size of their problems, they will begin to make the connection of what kind of reaction or response would be appropriate in certain situations. Our goal is to be able to manage emotions more when we think in these terms. Here's a short read if you'd like to learn more. In our Conflict Resolution lesson, students will learn different strategies to solve their problems and most importantly, how to talk it out when they come across conflict. We can all be problem-solvers!

Please be sure to check the lost and found wood rack for missing jackets or water bottles. It is suggested that you write your child's name on the tag inside of their jackets so we are able to return it to it's owner when we find them around the school. Any unclaimed Items will be donated at Thanksgiving Break.

ALL Green students will have access to free meals here at school. Students will be asked every morning if they are going to get a school lunch so we can order the correct amount

of food. Please communicate with your child if you would like them to get a school meal and if they are choosing the meat or vegetarian option.

TK/K students are welcome to come through the lunch line and grab a lunch but there is no lunch supervision for TK/K students they will need to eat with a parent/guardian off campus.

Breakfast will be served daily in the MUR for any interested students at 8:05am. Parents/guardians are not allowed in the MUR. Students will be supervised while they eat and will be either released to recess when finished or if they are TK/K they will be walked to class.

Per Board Policy any parent/guardian of a student enrolled in the District shall notify the District prior to or within five (5) days of any change in circumstance and/or a move which would affect their student’s residency (AR 5111.1).

Please complete and email the Change of Address Form with 2 proofs of new address residency to your current school.

At Green we are searching for one Noon Duties to help at lunch. Please contact Ms. Penny in the front office if you would like to join our team.

This is a reminder that our PTA membership drive is still going on and it's not too late to sign up as a PTA member and make donations! Our goal for the school year is to get 160+ members and $6000 donations+ matches. So far we only have 115 members and $3500+ donations, and we need your support to reach our goals.
