Student Supports and Fun Activities
The time between Thanksgiving and Winter Break can be the most challenging of the school year. We have the shortest days of the year which can affect peoples moods. The holidays can be a difficult time for families as well. To support our students, we are using our morning circle time to help them identify their feelings, learn calming strategies, and let adults know if they need help. If you know your student is struggling please contact the school so we can provide supports that will allow them to deal with stress and refocus on their learning.
During the week of December 19th - 23rd we will have a spirit week with a theme each day. The first day of the week is rainbow day and each grade level will have a color from the rainbow to wear to show their class spirit. Teachers will let their students know the grade level color next week. On the 23rd, we will host the Gearity STEM Carnival which is always a popular event and a great way to transition in the Winter Break.
