HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 3 Week 7 Friday 3 September
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Last week’s newsletter was opened more than 600 times! Nice to know that loads of people are taking advantage of having the latest news available on a regular basis. So we will keep publishing weekly!
The Year 4 students had their Eucharist Retreat today. We wish them well on their journey.
Today’s final assembly hosted by the Year One Gang was just fabulous! Thank you to Trish, Katherine, Kaity and Teresa who had the children in fantastic form. It was such a joy to be there to see them in action, and to celebrate with the children who received Merit Awards.
Finally, the large number of people who attended the Fathers Day Breakfast really appreciated the opportunity to come together and be a part of what is always a well regarded event. Sincere thanks to our P&F members who did so much to make this a memorable morning.
School photos next week. Please check the timetable in this newsletter.
Have a good weekend. Enjoy being able to do what you want to!

TEACHER GET TO KNOW YOU - GIULIA PASQUALE
What's the most interesting thing you can see out of your office or kitchen window?
We have a beautiful deck overlooking a nice patch of green luscious lawn. I love sitting out there when the weather is warm.
If you could join any past or current music group which would you want to join?
I know I would be ruining the all-male dynamic but joining the Beatles would be pretty cool!
What celebrity would you like to meet for a cup of coffee?
Mark McGowan. Technically not a celebrity but definitely a local legend!
Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?
All my favourites already have…scrunchies, hair clips, flared pants!
What three items would you take with you on a deserted island?
My phone, a good book and coffee!
What's your favourite family tradition?
Being an Italian family, we make our own pasta sauce every year. It is the best tradition because we spend all night talking, laughing and eating!
Do you love or hate roller coasters?
I can’t say I’ve been on many in my life, but I don’t mind them.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
What makes you laugh the most?
Mr D’Aloia…he paid me a fair bit of money to say that!

Every cent counts!!
If you would like to donate to the playground and help its completion whilst leaving a little bit of your family at the school for years to come please contact email@example.com.
We aim to recognise worthy donations through correspondence, social media and on custom signage near the playground area. Business donations can also be made.
It’s all getting very exciting! Tim and his team have done an amazing job and we have everything crossed that with a couple more weeks of work it will be ready to open!
BUSINESS SHOUT OUT
A shout out to a few more of our amazing Holy Rosary Businesses. Big thanks for supporting our cookbook fundraising project. Support local!
If your family or business would like to donate to the playground and receive thanks through school correspondence/social media etc please contact me asap firstname.lastname@example.org.
Worthy donations will also be included on the playground signage and remembered for years to come.
Little Giant Ladders Australia – National Distributor - Churchlands/Wangara (Peter Julian)
PJ’s ladders are designed with a huge emphasis on SAFETY. The number of ladder related injuries a year both residential and in the workplace is terrifying. Little Giant’s goal is to eliminate as much unnecessary risk as possible. The range of premium fiberglass and aluminium ladders varies from Step Ladders to A-frame, Extension, Platform, Multi-purpose and Cage ladders.
I think as we get older and wiser we’re all more aware of our need to stay safe. When you decide to ditch that old rickety ladder you use to clean the gutters or if you are a trade and want to invest in a quality ladder for everyday use, come and check the range out.
4 R Fitness – Private and Group Fitness Training - Woodlands (Felicity Kendall)
Summer is coming and if the idea of getting your bathers out scares you as much as it does me, give Felicity a call.
I enjoy my exercise but don’t really take to gym environments so love what Felicity offers – private and group training sessions (outdoor and indoor options) amongst a group of like-minded, supportive ladies (and teens).
Classes range from boxing to circuit and weight training and are budget friendly. With a FIRST WEEK FREE trial on offer you have nothing to lose.
BRT Trades & Services – Bathroom Renovation Specialist - Scarborough (Ben Thorpe)
Ben is a perfectionist which in my books makes him the perfect man to trust your renovations to. With their oldest child starting high school this year the Thorpe’s have been amongst our Holy Rosary community for some time now. He’s helped many inject a fresh look into their homes and I’d put money down that the reports on his work are 5 Star. A jack of all trades and master of bathrooms, as friendly as they come and super reliable – what more could you ask for.
If a renovation in on your mind the number you need is 0400 553 232 or email@example.com
Dates to remember
- P&F Meeting 6pm
Lastly Happy Father’s Day to all our amazing Dad’s for this weekend. Thank you to all those who attended this morning’s breakfast. It was a such a fun morning and a great opportunity for all our Dads to share a special breakfast with the HR Community. Blessed is the Father who shares his heart, lives his faith, gives his time, and loves his family.
Thank you 😊
Your P&F Team
After an amazing BOOK WEEK, we are on a roll in the library with lots going on. Students, staff and families have enjoyed the incredible art work which will come down this week. Check it out in the iMovie below! Thank you to all teachers and students for their wonderful efforts.
The Senior Chess Tournament had semi-finals on Wednesday and the Grand Final next week is going to an awesome game! Well done to Spencer, Antonio, Anthony and William for making it this far. Our year 5 Book Clubbers are really enjoying meeting up each Wednesday and it’s lovely to see their enthusiasm. I hope everyone is enjoying borrowing the book week books and all of our new additions at home. Have a lovely weekend.
