Reopening Monday March 22nd!!!
Our amazing staff has been working tirelessly to prepare to welcome back over 400 Colts on March 22nd. Our first day may not be "normal" but many things will be normal:
~ We will continue to learn
~ We will have fun
~ We will THRIVE
As we smooth out the wrinkles in our procedures, we kindly ask that you:
~ Please be patient
~ Please be positive
~ Please be kind
It has been a year since we had drop off, pick up, and we are adding multiple safety precautions. Almost 100 of our students have NEVER been on our campus. Things may be bumpy and slow for the first few days- please roll with it and keep a positive outlook.
Please make sure you review the LVJUSD Reopening Handbook: https://www.livermoreschools.org/Page/8983
We will send home a procedures video at the end of this week explaining all the procedures and protocols.

Drop Off Procedures
As with all things in 2021, things will look a little different:
- School gates will be opened at 8:25am.
- ONLY students and staff are allowed on campus at this time
- Please avoid campus parking during drop off
- Upon arrival, students will meet their teacher at the gate and will walk directly to the classrooms.
- Please do not drop off students prior to 8:15. There is no supervision before 8:15 am.
Entrance & Exit Gates: To maintain social distancing, we must have multiple entrances and exit gates. Gates will be specific to grade levels. Teachers will be waiting at these specific gates.
TK/K: Far left side of the school. Entrance is off of Irene Way, past the parking lot
1st: Gate to the left of the office (if you are facing the school)
2nd-4th: Gates to the blacktop, to the right of the MPR (if you are facing the school)
5th: Gate closest to ESS and to the right of the bike racks
Back Gates: The back gates that lead to Charlotte will be OPEN. Once students enter campus, they will be escorted to their designated line up area.
ESS: Students in ESS will be released on the blacktop to go to their line. They will be guided to class by our staff.
In an effort to maximize social distancing, reduce congregating and increase efficiency of pickup, we have several options available to our families:
1- Bike Riders/ Scooter Riders: Please remind your Colt to ALWAYS walk their bike/scooter when they arrive on campus. They may safely keep their bikes/ scooters in the bike rack in the front of the school
2- Walkers: We HIGHLY encourage our students to walk to school. It promotes health and is great for our environment.
3- Parking Lot: We are trying some new things out in our parking lot during drop off and pick up.
*Families will select the drop off loop based on the YOUNGEST Colt. For example, if you have a first and fourth grader, you will use the lane designated for first grade.
TK/K: We kindly ask that you park your car and walk your students to the TK/K gates.
1st-3rd Grade: Please use the outer loop/ roundabout
4th/5th Grade: Please use the inner loop/ parking lot loop. Students will be dropped off at the cones near the parking stalls that have been taped off.
Please help keep our parking lot safe by following these guidelines:
~ Please pull all the way forward. Please do not park cars in any of the loops.
~ Please have students exit from the passenger side and immediately proceed to their assigned gate while maintaining social distancing.
~ Adults please stay in the car
~ Students will "gel in" as they enter campus
~ If a COLT forgets their mask, they will be provided one at the gate.
~ The parking lot is designated for staff please
