November 17th, 2022

NOVEMBER 18, 2022
What an amazing, action-packed week to be a Homestead Husky! Next week is Thanksgiving - we only have school Monday through Wednesday. Enjoy your long weekend celebrating your Thanksgiving traditions.
The countdown to winter break is on with only 21 school days remaining. The coming weeks will be filled with fun activities.
MRS. MARLEE
NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION
The 5th graders in Mrs. Marlee’s class are studying the Revolutionary War. On Tuesday, the kids experienced what it was like to be a real patriot paying taxes to the king. Principal Kahler joined in the lesson as Queen Kahler and the students were taxed a percentage of their delicious treats. The students then marched on the office in a peaceful protest about the way taxes were being handled . “No taxation without representation” was their message.
ART CLUB
HOLIDAY CARDS
Art Club was busy on Tuesday afternoon making holiday cards from Homestead. We send an annual Holiday greeting to all the ASD schools to spread cheer. We are so impressed by all of our Art Club members and their creativity. Thank you to Mrs. Allen for sponsoring and inspiring Art Club members!
BASKETBALL CLUB

We are in need of three additional chaperones, so please contact Mrs. Johnston if you are available.
- Choir will be performing at the Chugiak Eagle River Chamber Of Commerce Winter Wonderland/Tree Lighting Ceremony in the Eagle River Town Square on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 7:05 PM, just after Santa arrives to light the tree.
