ZCS Technology Update
New Email, New Wireless
New Wireless for BYOD Programs at Secondary Schools
Over the summer our network team has been hard at work installing a state of the art Cisco Wireless Infrastructure at the high school and both middle schools. This new system will have cutting edge security and encryption features to keep all our users as safe as possible. With the new security, each BYOD machine brought onto campus will be required to log onto ZCSWifi (one-time) using the student's Active Directory account.
Log-In: firstname-lastname (ex: john-smith)
Password: student's lunch pin
As with any new system, there will be a few bugs to work out so we are requesting that students bring their BYOD device with them to Back to Schools Days where the technology department will be set up to check the machine's connection to the new wireless system and make sure the VMware client is installed as well. The VMware installation can be done ahead of time by following this link.

Don't Forget - Office 365
The Zionsville Technology Team has set up accounts for all students in Office 365, including email. Office 365 allows our students to log in from anywhere they have internet access and work on official WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT documents on-line! Students can share their work with others or collaborate with a group on a project. Office 365 will be the official work product of ZCS for the 2016-2017 school year, replacing Google Drive and Open Office. Each student will also have a OneDrive account where they can store all their files with access to them anywhere they have an internet connection.
