Where to Stay

We are fortunate to have the entire White Elephant Backpackers as our venue for the wedding, which includes several rooms available for guests.

White Elephant is a wonderful place to stay nestled in stunning gardens and handy to Motueka township, beds range from dorm rooms for larger families through to private double rooms for couples. There is also ample room to pitch your tent and make use of the White Elephant facilities.

To keep things simple and easy we ask that you book via the White Elephant website by using the code "Wedding". This will automatically reset the price to $0 and we ask that you make a donation during your stay to hosts Karin and George Klebert.

Due to January being peak season sourcing other accommodation may be challenging so in the event that we fill all available rooms at White Elephant Backpackers we recommend phoning either George or Karin on 03 528 6208 for their recommendations of other accommodation providers.

The ferry arrives in Picton which is two and a half hours drive from Motueka. Two main carriers operate the Cook Strait ferries - Bluebridge and Interislander.
