Stefanie McDowell/Student Services Aid
I am the student services aid. I help the students schedule appointments with their counselors. I also assist the counselors with projects they may have. Love my job love the people I work with. Before working here at JO Combs High School I was a stay at home mom for 16 yrs. I have 5 children and have been married for 19 yrs.
Brandon Outcalt/Counselor A-F
Jolene Petersen/Counselor G-M
I am an Arizona native, born and raised in Show Low. Since my childhood home was on one hill and my Elementary/Junior High Schools were on neighboring hills and we got snow, I can actually use the old adage that I walked uphill to school both ways and in the snow and mean it. My family and I have lived in the Phoenix area since 1993, locating to San Tan Valley 14 years ago. We love the small town feel, the openness of the area, and the people are awesome!
My sweetheart and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this year and are the proud parents to 4 children, 1 amazing daughter in law, 2 grandchildren, and 1 crazy dog. We love to camp, fish, hike, go to the movies, and travel. When I'm not busy with all my mom and counselor duties, I enjoy reading a good book, playing my piano, baking, and watching my favorite movies.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a Minor in History from ASU and received my Master of Education in School Counseling from Ottawa University. My personal goal is to make sure that each student leaves my office a little better off than they came in and I believe that every student can find success if they are willing to work for it. This is my second year at Combs High School and I love my job!
Brenda Lohr/Counselor N-Z
Hi. My name is Brenda Lohr and I am the counselor for students whose last names fall between N and Z. I wear a number of hats here which include being the coordinator of the AP Program (especially testing), the Arizona Civics exam, the PSAT and facilitating the new Parent University evening presentations. I am also the chair of the counseling department. Although I am new to Combs High School this year, this is my 23rd year in education. In my personal life I am the mother of two grown children and grandmother of five and I spend all of my limited spare time with them. I grew up in Pinal county and my husband and I still live in Casa Grande, so I am really excited to have the opportunity to be here. I have fallen in love with this school and its students and am looking forward to helping them find ways to reach their goals and achieve their dreams.

To ensure smooth delivery of this communication, we suggest you add "School@peachjar.com” to your email contacts. When you receive your first eflyer, be sure to click “always display images.” Thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure parents are well informed about school programs, activities, and events.
